Getting Hitched
Sunday, April 11 2004
I have not talked about this on my blog yet, but I am getting married in less than a month. We are leaving on April 28th and flying to London, we then catch a train to Edinburgh and get married on the 4th. After the wedding we are doing a little tour around Scotland, going through Aberdeen, Inverness, Skye, Glasgow, and then ending with a week in London... we won't get back until May 26th. (A little less than a month)
We are both pretty excited, there is a ton of stuff to do to get ready for this kind of thing. I have been making hotel reservations for the last month, I have found out that travel sites have become pointless, I have gotten the same or better deals dealing directly with the hotel or airline instead of going through a travel site.
I have also decided to not take a laptop, which is going to be tough, I don't think I have gone a month without a computer since I was 12. Because I am not taking a laptop I had to figure out a way to copy the photos off of my digital cameras, for that I found the GMini 120. It is around $200 and can hold 20 gigs of MP3s or photos, it has a CF slot so you can unload photos to it wherever you are, pretty cool. I was planning on also taking an Ipod, but I think I am going to wait for the next version, so I might need to use the GMini for music too.
Well, I am off to buy train tickets for the trip... so much to do, so little time.

Congratulations!
Hey, no worries about a computer-cold-turkey. You're then a newly wed, so I think you have other things on your mind then :D - #2 Julie Lerman on 4.11.2004 at 7:01 PM

Congratulations! A month without a computer might seem like a long time, but I am sure it will fly by, what with the honeymoon and all.
Have a great time! - #8 Darrell on 4.12.2004 at 2:48 AM
